2024 - 2025 Plans For 7th

Language Arts:
We’re continuing with the Michael Clay Thompson program, delving into classic literature with the fourth level. Additionally, we’ll be wrapping up our spelling journey with level six of All About Spelling.

Math:
For math, we’ve had great experiences with Math-U-See, and we’ll be diving into Algebra 1 using their new format, which seems tailored to my learner’s preferences.

Critical Thinking:
Critical thinking is a priority, and we’ll be exploring the basics with a workbook that emphasizes this essential skill.

History:
Revisiting Texas history, we’re opting for a comprehensive approach with Free Fun Texas History online resources. We’ll also be supplementing with materials that highlight underrepresented voices in history.

2024 - 2025 Plans For 7th

Science:
The American Chemistry Society’s Middle School Chemist curriculum caught our eye, providing hands-on exploration in the fascinating world of chemistry.

Geography and STEAM:
While we’re still undecided on specific resources for geography and STEAM, we’re keeping an eye out for opportunities to integrate these subjects into our learning in a way that complements our interests and lifestyle.

Extras:
In addition to our core subjects, we’ll be incorporating activities like hand lettering, current events with CNN10, and potentially exploring American Sign Language.

Group Studies:
Unit studies are on the agenda this year, allowing our daughters to delve into topics that ignite their passions. From dinosaurs to film history, we’re tailoring our studies to their interests.
