Plan It With Me

Cleaning Schedule:

Let’s kick things off with our cleaning schedule. I’m all about simplicity, so I’ve streamlined our cleaning routine into themed days. We’ve got “Make It Right Monday,” “Tinkle Sprinkle Tuesday” for bathrooms, “Wax on Wax Off Wednesday” for dusting, “That’s Extra Thursday” for laundry, and 1 extra thing like oven cleaning,Β  “Forget About It Friday” for anything missed, and weekend chores, including sheets. Our kids have assigned chores, fostering a team effort, and we ensure the kitchen is tidied up daily.

Cooking & Meal Planning:

Now, onto cooking! We’re busy, and meal prep is key. We keep a rotating list of 14-16 meals, including leftovers and batch cooking. We do one significant monthly grocery haul and weekly top-ups for perishables. The whole family gets involved in the kitchen, promoting shared responsibility and valuable life skills.

Lesson Planning:

Lesson planning is a breeze for us. With open-and-go curricula, I’ve done the bulk of planning upfront. Each week, we simply move on to the next lesson. I’ll replace flashcards, set up activities, and highlight pages for upcoming science lessons. It’s straightforward and efficient.

Personal Planner Setup:

Now, let’s peek into my personal planner setup. I use the Schoolnest planner in a top-down, hourly format. I love writing down quotes that inspire me each day. I also jot down my weekly focus and use the margins for additional notes. It’s a practical tool for tracking tasks, staying organized, and maintaining a positive mindset.

I do have everything that I use: planner, pens, and highlighters over on my Amazon Storefront. I have the link on my Favorites page.
