Yes, I have themed my cleaning days! It’s just more fun and easier to remember what to do that way.
You can find all of my favorite cleaning tools that make cleaning life easier over on my Amazon Storefront.
Monday: Make It Right Monday
On Mondays, we kickstart the week with “Make It Right Monday.” This is all about getting our home back in order after the weekend. I prioritize the kitchen, address accumulated dishes, and ensure everything is set for the week ahead by clearing surfaces and putting things back in their home.
Tuesday: Tinkle Sprinkle Tuesday
Tuesday is dedicated to tackling bathrooms, or as we call it, “Tinkle Sprinkle Tuesday.” We efficiently clean and maintain our bathrooms, involving my oldest in specific tasks while I take care of others. Efficiency is key, and I aim to complete this chore in under 30 minutes. My oldest is in charge of wiping countertops while I tackle toilets and tubs.
Wednesday: Wax On, Wax Off Wednesday
“Wax On, Wax Off Wednesday” is all about dusting and maintaining a clean living space. My approach to dusting various areas includes going hard in a different room each week, as needed, to make the routine more enjoyable and manageable.
Thursday: That’s Extra Thursday
Thursday involves handling any extra tasks that may have arisen during the week or something that I have noticed need to be done. For example: Additionally, it’s laundry day, where we sort and clean clothes. Our laundry system is simple, get it all washed and laid out ready to fold, and then, ensure that it’s a collaborative effort among family members.
Friday: Fuhgeddabout It Friday
On Fridays, we give ourselves flexibility with “Fuhgeddabout It Friday.” This is a day to catch up on any overlooked tasks and focus on the floors. The girls play a role in either vacuuming or mopping, making it a team effort to maintain clean and tidy floors.
And there you have it – a glimpse into our full week of chores! While it might seem like a lot, our routine is designed to be efficient, shared among family members, and adaptable to our homeschooling lifestyle.
